Contributor Agreement

Terms under which you may submit contributions to projects owned or managed by Coderic.

This Contributor Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms under which contributors (“You”) may make contributions (“Contributions”) to projects (“Projects”) owned or managed by Coderic. By submitting Contributions, You agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Definitions

Code: The computer software code, in human-readable or machine-executable form, that You deliver to Coderic under this Agreement.

Project: Any project owned or managed by Coderic and offered under open-source licenses such as CC, GPLv3, MIT, or Apache.

Submit: Uploading, submitting, transmitting, or distributing Code or other content to any Project, including communication on mailing lists, source control, and issue trackers managed for the Project.

Contribution: The Code and any other copyrightable material You submit, including comments and documentation.

2. Your contributions

You agree to these terms before contributing. This Agreement applies to all Contributions You Submit now or in the future to any Coderic-managed Project.

3. Originality and attribution

You represent that each Contribution is either entirely Your original work or is clearly attributed to its source. If You include third-party material, You must retain copyright and license notices, clearly label third-party portions and licenses, and follow the Project’s guidelines for third-party materials.

4. Licensing your contributions

By contributing, You grant Coderic and recipients of the Code a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, perform, and distribute the Contribution and derivative works, under licenses the Project uses (including CC, GPLv3, MIT, Apache).

You also grant a patent license to the extent Your patent claims read on the Code, to make, have made, use, sell, and distribute the Code.

You retain ownership of Your Contributions except for the rights granted above.

5. Representations

You represent that You are entitled to grant these licenses and that Contributions are original except as disclosed in Section 3. Contributions are provided “as is” without warranties unless required by law or agreed in writing.

6. Notice

You agree to notify Coderic of any facts that would make Your representations inaccurate.

7. Attribution and public record

Contributions may be kept indefinitely and disclosed publicly, including Your name and information submitted with the Contribution, consistent with the Project’s open-source licenses.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Coderic does not verify originality or legal compliance of every Contribution; You are responsible for compliance with applicable law and third-party rights. Projects are provided “as is” without warranties except as required by law.

9. Governing law

[Jurisdiction and venue to be specified in the canonical legal version maintained by Coderic.]

10. Entire agreement

This Agreement is the entire agreement on Contributions and may be assigned by Coderic to successors or affiliates. By submitting a Contribution, You agree to these terms.
